Edius Pro is one of Canopus's most powerful nonlinear editing software. Edius Pro software was independent of the conventional limitations of nonlinear editing systems. It provides an integrated Workflow application that can handle a variety of video formats and can edit all formats simultaneously, as well as edit SD and HD formats at the same time.

Edius Pro is capable of working with OHCI Firewire cards and works with a variety of Canopus editing hardware including the DVStorm Series and DV Raptor RT2 Series. By using this hardware, the editing efficiency of Real-Time increases.

Any Intel Core 2 or Core iX CPU. Intel or AMD single core CPU with a 3 GHz processor speed or faster (multiple CPUs and/or multicore CPUs are recommended). SSSE3 (Supplementary SSE3) instruction set support required.

Memory:
  • 1 GB of RAM minimum (4 GB or more recommended)
  • Requirements for RAM and video memory vary depending on the project format. Recommended for SD / HD projects: 4 GB or more RAM. For 4K projects: 16 GB or more of RAM recommended
  • The maximum amount of RAM is based on the physical memory limits of each OS.
  • Win-dows 8 Enterprise and Professional 64-bit: 512 GB
  • Win-dows 8 64-bit: 128 GB
